Impedance Tool
UltraCAD's Impedance Tool is designed to help the engineer deal
with sometimes complex impedance calculations, especially parallel combinations
of impedance. Values can be entered as RLC values, in rectangular coordinates
(e.g. R +jX), or in polar coordinates (e.g. vector Z and angle theta). Data is
entered in the form of

}So a 3,000 resistance can be entered as 3 x 10^{3}, 30 x 10^{2},
or 3000 x 10^{0}, etc.
The tool will calculate series or parallel combinations. It will convert a rectangular expression to polar or a polar to rectangular. And for R, L, and C values it will calculate time constants and resonant frequencies.
This is a handy tool for the workbench or classroom.
A license is required to operate the tool. The license costs $30 ($25 if you buy both the Impedance Tool and the Fourier Simulator at the same time.) If you purchase a license it will be sent to you by email in the form of a file (named impedance.dat). Place the license file in the same folder as the program executable. The program requires three files in that folder: the executable (ucad impedance tool.exe), the license file (impedance.dat), and a license control file (ucadlic.dll).
This calculator is designed to run on Windows 98/ME/NT/2K/XP/VISTA/Win7, 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
